Afghan Women ProjectThe National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs (NFBPWC) is proud to be hosting two parallel events at the 2022 United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66).

Register today for:

Achieving Economic Empowerment for Displaced Business and Professional Women

Date: March 16, 2022
Time: 6-8pm EDT / 3-5pm PDT
[Use this time difference calculator to determine the time in your area. Note that the time will change for some countries when the U.S. moves to Daylight Time]

Climate and other disasters are driving women to migrate – as evacuees, refugees, and asylum-seekers. Little exists to support a working woman in transferring training, experience and knowledge into comparable work at her destination which can lead to depression and act as a barrier to integration.

Join our panel discussions with special guests from Afghanistan and beyond as we address:

  • SDGs 5 and 10 and our goal of economic empowerment for displaced women; highlighting NFBPWC’s Afghan Women Project,
  • A four-pronged approach involving advocacy, mentoring, a resources platform and a cultural adaptation.
  • How to work with NFBPWC to replicate the solution in your own communities.
