What is the Afghan Women Project?

HOSTED BY YOUNG BPW USA

Leaving their country in just the clothes on their backs, displaced Afghan women are in the United States facing the intricacies of the American way of life:

   - our laws that can protect them,

   - our customs that could mystify them, and

   - our society which has been built in a crucible of active diversity.

Join us March 10th at 5:30pm PT/8:30pm ET

NFBPWC stands with our newly minted American sisters!

The Afghan Women Project works to empower displaced Afghan women to continue to support themselves and achieve the many rights and dignities that all Americans enjoy today.

Attend and learn more about this project from Emily VanVleck and Djenabou Bah, two of our Young BPW members who spearheaded this project with their NYC club and fellow NFBPWC members from across the country.

Bring your questions, your ideas, and your energy! This team is growing and needs our help.

We look forward to seeing you on March 10th!

If you’d like to get even more involved, then you can join their specific Young BPW meeting on March 14th at 10am PT/1pm ET. Because most of the Afghan Women in this project are in our age group, the AWP team has created a specific day to discuss their needs with Young BPW. Register for this meeting here: https://nfbpwc.org/event-4717702.
