IFBPW’s Virtual Art Exhibition is Taking Shape

The Arts and Culture Standing Committee is part of BPW International and is dedicated to exploring the expression of artists around the world; to share the differences culture and environment have on the work of individual artists.

To do this, the 17 sisters from 14 countries on five continents who make up the committee created a system to invite submissions to our Virtual Art Exhibition: Echoes of the Earth—scheduled for the end of the year.

This event showcases artistic talent both new and established in a global forum, exposing the artists and the visitors to different cultures and bringing international attention to the artists.

We are inviting artists far and wide—BPW members or friends—to join us in showcasing their work. They can be established artists or someone working on establishing their work. We are interested in artists working in different genres, styles, and forms: visual art including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, and digital art, literature, theater, film, music, and dance. In any style, from Realism to Surrealism, from traditional to avant-garde.

The show will be promoted by International Federation of Business and Professional Women (IFBPW), the larger group with which our National Federation of Professional Business Women’s Clubs (NFBPWC) is affiliated, and which includes affiliates in over 110 countries on five continents.

Curated by Arts and Culture Committee, this year’s theme is: Inspire, Innovate, Empower, Transform: Together We Shape a Sustainable Future, Echoes of the Earth.

The artists selected to exhibit benefit from another place to send clients, friends, and family to see their work as part of an exhibition, and IFBPW benefits by expanding our commitment to supporting artists wherever they are.

Holding the exhibition in a virtual space, which can be visited any time from anywhere simply by accessing the BPW websites, gives these artists even more exposure. It can run much longer than a standard show and be seen by far more people.

This is the kind of experience and exposure many artists dream of!

IFBPW continues to showcase the multi-faceted, creative ways humans express themselves and share their visions!

    Where Do Your Dues Go?

This month we are talking about the Sustainable Development Goals. The one most related to finance is Goal 1: No Poverty.

We are going to look at No Poverty for NFBPWC by showing you where your dues go.

Each member pays $50 per year.

Approximately $29 of it goes to International BPW for our dues, which are £25 Euros per member. Depending on the conversion rate at the time we pay them, the dollar amount varies slightly. This year it was $29 per member.

That leaves $21 per member to cover all our national expenses.

Our total (national-only) budget for this year is $21,307.

This chart below illustrates how we spend it.

    With Gratitude for Your Participation

The Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Committee extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who submitted proposed amendments to the Bylaws and the Policies and Procedures, as well as those who contributed resolutions for consideration. Your engagement demonstrates a shared commitment to keeping our governing documents clear, current, and aligned with the needs of our membership.

Each submission will be carefully evaluated for clarity, consistency, and compliance with established formatting requirements. This step ensures that every proposal is presented in a manner that allows members to fully understand the intent and impact of the suggested changes.

Once the committee completes its review, all amendments and resolutions will be forwarded to the full membership for input. This open review period is an essential part of our democratic process, giving every member the opportunity to examine the proposals and participate in shaping the future direction of our organization.

We thank all contributors for their thoughtful work and for helping to uphold the integrity of our governing framework.
